Though there are many opinions on this debate, I personally believe that humans are born with a will that in today's society, would be considered evil. Our primal instinct gives us the mindset that only the fittest survive. Whether it be something very significant like being bigger and stronger, or something seemingly less significant like having cooler shoes, every little bit that tips the scale in your favor increases your chances of survival. Therefore, in a society without structure, cheating, stealing, killing, and other things that would be considered lawless in a structured society, would run rampant. I think that a structured society is absolutely necessary- the need to be the dominant being is less critical because everyone abides by law and gets along with one another.
